WHERE WILL YOU END UP ?

¹⁹Jesus said, “There was a certain rich man who was splendidly clothed in purple and fine linen and who lived each day in luxury.

²⁰At his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus who was covered with sores.

²¹As Lazarus lay there longing for scraps from the rich man’s table, the dogs would come and lick his open sores.

²²“Finally, the poor man died and was carried by the angels to sit beside Abraham at the heavenly banquet. The rich man also died and was buried,

²³and he went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side.

²⁴“The rich man shouted, ‘Father Abraham, have some pity! Send Lazarus over here to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. I am in anguish in these flames.’

²⁵“But Abraham said to him, ‘Son, remember that during your lifetime you had everything you wanted, and Lazarus had nothing. So now he is here being comforted, and you are in anguish.

²⁶And besides, there is a great chasm separating us. No one can cross over to you from here, and no one can cross over to us from there.’

²⁷“Then the rich man said, ‘Please, Father Abraham, at least send him to my father’s home.

²⁸For I have five brothers, and I want him to warn them so they don’t end up in this place of torment.’

²⁹“But Abraham said, ‘Moses and the prophets have warned them. Your brothers can read what they wrote.’

³⁰“The rich man replied, ‘No, Father Abraham! But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will repent of their sins and turn to God.’

³¹“But Abraham said, ‘If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.’”

Understand

Many people that are living in the world today are carried away by the pleasures of sin.

They think they are living the life now, but they have forgotten that they should be more concerned with their end than their present state.

The time we have on earth is like a passing wind.

There is a place where everyone will report to when they close their eyes in death,

and we will all be in that place for eternity.

My question to you now is, when you get to eternity, on what side will you be, on the side of heaven or hell ?

The Bible says that when the Lord shall return,

He is going to separate the people into two; the sheep will be on His right-hand side and the goats on the left, Matthew 25:31-46.

Ask yourself sincerely,

” Which side of God will I be at the end?”

It is not where I am now that matters most, but where I will end up in eternity.

One reason I am not afraid of death is because I am sure that dying in this world only gives me access to the eternal presence of God in heaven.

If you are not sure where you will go when you leave this world, then you should be afraid of death.

The interesting thing is, whether you fear death or not, everyone has an appointment with it that cannot be missed.

When that day comes, I hope you will be on the right-hand side of God.

If you are standing for God now, please keep standing.

Pray to God that He keeps you standing unto the end

because it doesn’t matter how long anyone may have served God, if they backslides and death catches up with them in his backslidden state, they will perish in hell as we see in Ezekiel 18:24^ERV

« “Now, maybe good people might stop being good. They might change their lives and begin to do all the terrible things that evil people have done in the past. (The evil people changed, so they can live.) So if those good people change and become bad, God will not remember all the good things they did. He will remember that they turned against him and began to sin. So they will die because of their sin »

On the other hand, someone may have been a sinner all their life,

but close to when they are to die, if they repent and begins to live like Christ,

that individual will make it to heaven at the end, Ezekiel 18:21-22.
