« So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them »
14 Then God commanded, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate day from night and to show the time when days, years, and religious festivals begin;
15 they will shine in the sky to give light to the earth”—and it was done.
16 So God made the two larger lights, the sun to rule over the day and the moon to rule over the night; He also made the stars.
17 He placed the lights in the sky to shine on the earth,
18 to rule over the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God was pleased with what He saw.
19 Evening passed and morning came—that was the fourth day.
Our God is the God of distinction; He is not an author of confusion.
A person chooses to be confused when he or she does not want to do the right thing as ordered by God and so pretends that they don’t know what God wants from them.
He created lights for a purpose and darkness for another.
God commanded in Genesis 1:14ISV
« Then God said, “Let there be lights across the sky to distinguish day from night, to act as signs for seasons, days, and years” »
The God of order is that God of distinction.
When He wanted to create man, for example, the Bible says Genesis 1:27 CEV:
« So God created humans to be like Himself; He made men and women »
God, in His infinite wisdom, created mankind as male and female, yet some people feel the need to change their gender as though He did not know what He was doing when He created them!
God does not make mistakes.
Our God is the perfect God of distinction.
He created the day for work and the night to rest.
If for any reason we do not rest in one night, the following day should compensate for the loss of rest.
Failure to observe rest produces stress, sickness and ultimately death.
Little wonder life expectancy in the last fifty year has been on the decline.
Achievements that should normally have taken forty years to accomplish are realized in fewer than thirty, at the price of dying earlier.
The God of distinction says His word:
« Stop forming inappropriate relationships with unbelievers. Can right and wrong be partners? Can light have anything in common with darkness? »
2 Corinthians 6:14 GWT. He then commanded in 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 NKJV
« 17 Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.” 18 “I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” »
A lot of people have mixed many profane things with the scared.
The God of distinction will never lower His standards.
It is our duty to live up to His standards.
Application Look into your life and see where you have compromised your values as a Christian. Repent and begin to walk in the path of righteousness again.
