INTEGRITY

I

Monday December 15th, 2025

Better to be poor and honest than to be dishonest and rich.

Young people who obey the law are wise; those with wild friends bring shame to their parents.

Income from charging high interest rates will end up in the pocket of someone who is kind to the poor.

God detests the prayers of a person who ignores the law.

10 Those who lead good people along an evil path will fall into their own trap, but the honest will inherit good things.

  • Simply put, integrity is being true to your word – that is, what you say is consistent with what you do.

Everyone who calls himself or herself a Christian must be a person of integrity.

Our Lord Jesus Christ said, Matthew 5:37NKJV,

  • When you promise to do something, that is what you should do.

If for any reason you cannot fulfil your promise, you must discuss it with the individual involved and explain the circumstances.

You shouldn’t go back on a promise without any explanation – that is not like your Father in Heaven, whom you claim to be like.

The name of Jesus is powerful – so powerful that Philippians 2:10-11 says that at the mention of that name, every knee in heaven, on earth and underneath the earth should bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.

As powerful as His name is, the Bible says, He magnifies His word above it, Psalm 138:2.

This is why we trust completely in the word of God – we know that He can and will do what He says He will.

If You say you are Christ-like then your word must be your bond.

Application – Jesus always keeps His word; you should always keep yours too.
