« I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth »
22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!”
25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.
26 It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
Today, we shall be looking at a practical way of accessing divine help to deal with mountains.
My first admonishment today is that you should trust God- your Heavenly Father.
In our Bible text for today, we read in Lamentations 3:22 CEV
« If the Lord had not been merciful, we would have been destroyed »
When we believe this Scripture, we have no reason to be anxious anymore, and we shall be unmovable.
We should also trust God, the Son. Jesus said in John 14:14 NKJV
« If you ask anything in My name, I will do it »
Jesus made it clear to us that He is the truth and the life, and no man can come to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
Also, we must trust God, the Holy Spirit, for power and strength.
He is our energizer and the seal of our salvation.
We can only succeed through life’s journey by His help.
The Bible says in John 14:17 NLT
« He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize Him. But you know Him, because He lives with you now and later will be in you »
You should always remember the mercies of God, according to our text of today. In 1 Samuel 17:37NKJV, David said
« The LORD, who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine »
David remembered the mercy of God that once delivered him from the danger of death and the mountain of Goliath fell before him.
According to Jesus in Matthew 17:20, we must have faith in God if we want to surmount the mountains of life.
Finally, live righteously. The Bible says in Isaiah 3:10-11NKJV
« Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, For they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for the reward of his hands shall be given him »
In order words, only those who belong to God can surmount the mountains of life.
If you have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, plead with Him to forgive your sins and make you His child.
You shall overcome, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer focus – Father, please make me a doer of Your word and level all mountains of my life today, in Jesus name !
